Isela Blair
Bio:
Isela Blair is the founder and
president of Leifer & Associates, which has fast become a premiere fitness &
fashion public relations firm in Los Angeles.
Isela earned her BA in Broadcast Journalism with a collateral field of
study in Sociology from California State University at Northridge, beginning
a career in the growing field of telecommunications. Isela gained
valuable media & broadcast experience from positions at top networks such as
NBC4 and at various local radio stations. During this period she was
honored with several awards within the field of Journalism from respected
organizations such as the Society of Professional Journalists and the
National Federation of Community Broadcasters.
Each of these positions exposed her to public relations, in which she
eventually began a career by holding Junior Publicist positions at various
respected entertainment public relations firms such as Koch & Company
of Beverly Hills. Isela has also supplemented her knowledge with
continuing education in the field. She attended a UCLA program
specifically focused on Entertainment Public Relations and Event Planning.
After a few years at PR firms, gaining industry contacts and fast becoming a
seasoned publicist, Isela decided to launch her own public relations and
marketing firm. Leifer & Associates was founded in 2000 and has since
occupied a specialty niche in the fitness and fashion industries with
clients such as Body Glove and Athletic Physical Therapy.
Leifer & Associates has also launched several successful marketing campaigns
and planned special events for promotion as part of integrated marketing
strategies.
Leifer & Associates has built a broad based contact list that includes
fitness and fashion journalists and producers in television, film, magazines
and newspapers. The contact list also includes fitness industry
celebrities, medical professionals such as orthopedic surgeons and physical
therapists, gym owners, major corporations such as Anheuser-Busch,
ABC Family and Nordstrom, clothing designers, make-up artists,
stylists, top entertainment talent agencies such as CAA and UTA,
and other top public relations firms such as Couch-Nobelius.
Leifer & Associates' clients constantly appear in the nation's leading
fashion, fitness and industry trade magazines and on high profile television
shows such as The View.
Isela has set out to make her mark in the public relations industry and
continues to grow her company into the entertainment industry by expanding
her client base to encompass films and production companies. Leifer &
